The World Cup of ODIs has just concluded. This year also has T20 World Cup . However there are a number of significant competitions such as the IPL ,before that. With a bird’s eye view of the two major tournaments all the teams and cricketers have already begun intensive preparations . The board is likely to be pressured with team selection. Even talks with Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli are likely. Due to the long time Virat and Rohit did not play T20.
The Indian Cricket team is now in South Africa wrapping off their series . Following that they’ll head back home to play the Test series against England and the T-20 series against Afghanistan .
20 teams qualified directly for the tournament. 5 teams each have been grouped together. A total of four teams have been formed. The top two teams in each group’s points table will qualify for the Super Eight.
The Indian team’s T20 World Cup campaign is likely to start from June 5 and the team will face Ireland in the first match . It is anticipated that India will play its second match against Pakistan on June 9 and the third match against USA on June 12.
Meanwhile, Team India will play their last match against Canada on June 15.Indian league matches will be played in USA. After that, the Super Eight match will be held in Caribbean. Because this tournament is only 5 months away.
