Six Indian cricket players make up the finest ODI XI for 2023, as chosen by the ICC. There are two cricketers from the winning ODI World Cup squad in that squad.

Together with five other Indians, including star batsman Virat Kohli and the speed combination of Mohammed Shami and Mohammed Siraj, Rohit Sharma was chosen captain of the ICC’s ODI team of the year on Tuesday.
However, Rohit Sharma of India is leading the ICC-selected side. Shubman Gill, the opener, too. India’s two openers are retained by the ICC.
Rohit scored 1255 runs in 2023, at an average of 52 for his remarkable performance. His outstanding form carried over to the ODI World Cup, where he was a key player at the top of the opening order.
As the only batsman to surpass 1500 in the ODI format in 2023, Shubman Gill amassed 1584 runs with five hundreds, making him the best run scorer for India this season.
Travis Head of Australia, who amassed a century in the World Cup final match, is ranked third. He did, however, start for Australia in the World Cup as an opener.

ICC’s ODI team of the year includes four bowlers. There are two pacers and two spinners among them. Adam Zampa of Australia has had a strong bowling season. During the World Cup, he has taken wickets on a regular basis. Zampa was retained by the ICC. Three Indian bowlers are also present. Mohammed Siraj and Muhammad Shami, two pacers, and spinner Kuldeep Yadav. The World Cup’s most wicket taker so far is Shami.
Adam Zampa not only finished as the second-highest wicket-taker in the World Cup, but he also took 38 wickets at an average of 26.31 for the full year.
Mohammed Siraj finished the year with 44 wickets, six of which came against Sri Lanka at a cost of 21 runs.
Kuldeep Yadav claimed 49 wickets in one-day internationals last year; his greatest performance came against Pakistan in the Asia Cup Super-Fours, where he went five for 25.
Mohammed Shami, with 24 wickets in 7 innings, is India’s leading wicket-taker in the 2023 World Cup.
