Axar patel is acting as a worthy successor to Jadeja, he was dismissed by Shoaib Bashir today after scoring 27 runs. KS Bharat failed with the bat and was out for 17 runs.

At the end of the first day, India lost six wickets for 336 runs.

Both Rehan Ahmed and Shoaib Bashir claimed two wickets. Additionally, Tom Hartley and James Anderson each claimed one wicket.
