Can Rajat Patidar retain his place in the India’s Playing XI ?

KL Rahul is expected to rejoin the lineup for the fourth Test against England. Devdutt Padikkal and other young talented cricketers are in the team. India have a strong bench of backup players. From that vantage point, Rajat was given two chances by the Indian team. But he could not fulfill the expectations. Meanwhile, there are rumors that Rajat may skip the Ranchi Test as the competition from Team India has increased.

The trend in the Indian team now is to perform. Cricketers like Sarfraz, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill are proving themselves in every match. As a result, naturally, performance is going to be the criterion for getting a chance in the team. Sarfaraz’s aggressive batting on Test debut almost assured India’s playing XI in Ranchi. At the same time, Rajat may drop from the XI due to a complete failure in Rajkot. This is what the cricket community is saying.
