The four-day Rajkot Test came to an end. India demonstrated their batsmanship. The second innings saw a double century from Yashasvi Jaiswal. England had a goal of 557 runs when they went to bat and scored only 122 runs throughout their innings. With 434 runs, Rohit Sharma won the match. In Test history, this is India’s largest margin of victory. Their previous best victory over New Zealand was 372 runs. The victory in Rajkot gave India a 2-1 lead in the five-match Test series.
On the fourth day, Kuldeep Yadav opened the batting alongside Shubman Gill in the morning. Kuldeep was doing a great job as a night watchman. He was advancing the team’s run with Shubman. Gill was slowly moving towards his hundred runs. He also scored a century in the second innings in the previous Test. However, Shubman Gill was dismissed for 91 runs due to a misunderstanding. Kuldeep scored 27 runs before being removed.
Yashasvi retired at the end of the third day with a back injury. After Gill got out on the fourth day, he came out to bat. Sarfraz Khan started batting fluently with him.
