India possible playing 11- The Test series is tied 1-1 after the first two matches. There are still three matches left in the five-matches Test series between India and England. The third Test will begin on February 15 at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot.
Virat Kohli will not be available throughout the series. Shreyas Iyer is also absent from the last three Tests. KL Rahul will not be able to play in Rajkot. Although Ravindra Jadeja has recovered from his injury, the Indian camp has some relief. Selecting India possible playing 11 for the Rajkot Test should not present too much of a challenge.
How India’s first eleven can be in the important IND vs ENG 3rd Test?
All in all, the Indian cricket team is going to play the Rajkot Test. Many new faces in the team can get a chance in the Rajkot Test.
There is no possibility of changing the opening pair. Captain Rohit Sharma will go down with Yashasvi Jaiswal. Jaiswal scored 321 runs in two Tests and scored his first double century in the second Test.
Rohit Sharma did not get much success with the bat. Rohit scored 90 runs in two test matches. Team India will want Rohit Sharma to regain his old form before the third Test match of IND vs ENG Test Series 2024.
Subhman Gill was unsuccessful with the bat in the first Test match of the England series after the South Africa test series. Gill was almost uncertain about being in the team.
Until the end Shubman Gill has cemented his place in the team since his century innings in Visakhapatnam.
At the moment, KL Rahul and Shreyas Iyer have been ruled out of Test matches due to injuries. Due to injury, Shreyas will not play in the remaining matches of IND vs ENG Test Series 2024.
Sarfaraz Khan gets a place in the team, he can replace Shreyas Iyer. Sarfaraz could be seen dropping at number four in place of Shreyas. During the 2022–23 season, Sarfaraz amassed 556 runs at an average of 92.66 in 6 games. He averaged 122.75 runs scored at the end of the previous season.
Rajat Patidar also gets a place in the team, he can replace KL Rahul. Patidar could be seen dropping at number five in place of KL Rahul. He got a chance to play in the second Test match but he failed completely with the bat. He scored 32 runs in the first innings and 9 runs in the second innings.
Rajat Patidar is part of the team that will play England in the three test Ind vs Eng. Patidar played 55 matches in the first class cricket, achieved 4,000 runs.
Ravindra Jadeja will bat at number six. Rahul Dravid will not risk making the playing XI by leaving out the experienced all-rounder on a familiar home wicket. Although he played in the first test match, he could not play in the second test match due to injury. He will finally recover and play the third Test.
Previous performance 1st test after injury Jadeja scored 87 runs off 180 balls in the first innings of the first Test in Hyderabad. In the first innings, he bagged three wickets for 88 runs, while in the second, Ravindra Jadeja took two wickets for 131 runs.
KS Bharat’s keeping is satisfactory but the team management is not happy with the batting. Any cricket player needs some time to adjust to playing on the international circuit, according to India’s head coach Rahul Dravid. Jurel can come to the team in place of wicketkeeper KS Bharat. Dhruv Jurel likely to replace KS Bharat in 3rd Test against England. He scored an astounding 46.47 average and accumulated 790 runs in just 15 games.
Another all-rounder will be seen at number eight. Rajkot is also Axar Patel’s home ground. Axar Patel scored 145 runs in two test matches. He took 5 wickets in last two test matches.
Experienced Ravichandran Ashwin will bat at number nine. He is one wicket away from the milestone of 500 Test wickets. He grabbed 9 wickets in last two matches.
Jasprit Bumrah, vice-captain of team India will bat at number 10. He has taken the most wickets in England Tests. He bagged a total of 15 wickets.
Bengal pacer, Mukesh Kumar got a chance due to Md Siraj not playing in the second test match. Mukesh Kumar got only one wicket.
Siraj is going to play the third Test match, so Mukesh Kumar may have to sit out.
