IND vs ENG 2nd Test, Day 3- Shubman Gill made a ton for India

Shubman Gill smashed his third Test century and helped India reach 255 set England a target of 399 to win the match. James Anderson dismissed two openers for India this morning. Anderson came to bowl in the second innings and picked up two wickets, Rohit Sharma departs after scoring 13 runs and Yashasvi Jaiswal was caught out after scoring 17 runs. Then Shubman Gill and Shreyas Iyer scored 81 runs together.

After Virat, Gill is considered as the best Indian player of the current era. But no runs came from his bat in the last few innings. The young Indian player Shubman Gill scored third century of his Test career. After 2017, another century came from the Indian batsman who batted at number three.
Shubman was scoreless in the first innings. In the second innings, Gill scored a quick 104 runs. In the second innings, he contributed to India’s 398-run lead over England.

India lost the wicket of Shreyas Iyer, even though he was set at the crease, Shreyas returned to the pavilion by scoring 29 runs. He returns with a catch in the hands of Stokes from Hartley.
Rajat Patidar also could not hold the crease for long. Rehan Ahmed got his wicket after nine runs.

Shubman Gill scored 104 runs off 147 balls in an innings that had 11 boundaries and 2 sixes. Gill returned after smashing a reverse sweep off Shoaib Basir and catching the wicketkeeper.
Axar Patel scored 45 runs in 84 deliveries. Gill-Axar pair scored 89 runs on the board.
Srikar Bharat was dismissed for 6 runs. Ashwin scored 29 runs but other Indian batters could not impress a lot. As a result, India were all out at 255 in 78.3 overs.

kuldeep Yadav and Jasprit Bumrah were dismissed for zero runs by Tom Hartley.
Tom Hartley took 4 wickets for 77 runs. Rehan Ahmed grabbed 3 wickets with 88 runs. Veteran pacer James Anderson received 2 wickets and Shoaib Bashir bagged 1 wicket.
India set a target of 399 runs in front of England to win the match.

England came out to bat with at least 14 overs to be played. Zak Crawley and Ben Duckett open the innings. Ravichandran Ashwin, comes into the attack.
England batsman Ben Duckett, who came in to open, was dismissed by Ashwin. It was a huge moment for Ashwin and India. Ben Duckett left the field with 28 runs.

At the end of the Day 3, Zak Crawley was unbeaten on 29 runs. Rehan Ahmed comes as night watch man after Ben Duckett got out.
England at 67/1after 14 overs, Zak Crawley at 29 runs and Rehan Ahmed at 9 runs.
England need 332 runs to win. India need nine wickets to win IND vs ENG 2nd Test.
