Chattogram Challengers started with a win in their first match but did not get off to a good start in the second match. Chattogram Challengers lost BPL 4th match to Khulna Tigers by 4 wickets.
It can be seen that the team that wins the toss and decides to bowl first wins the game.
That exception did not happen to Khulna as they won the toss as per rules and decided to bowl first and sent Chittagong to bat first.
The Khulna Tigers bowlers showed their bowling prowess and took all the wickets to Chattogram Challengers for 121 runs.
Najibullah Zadran was man of the match with 61 runs in their first match of BPL but he failed to shine with the bat in his second match, getting out for just 24 runs.
In this match, Sohidul Islam scored the maximum runs for Chattogram Challengers, with the help of two sixes and three fours, he scored 40 runs.
If Najibullah (24), Sohidul Islam (40) and Tanzid Hasan (19) had not got runs then 121 runs would not have gone up on the scoreboard.
Nahidul Islam was the most successful of Khulna Tigers, he bowled four overs and took four wickets for 12 runs and was crowned Man of the Match.
The Pakistani all-rounder Faheem Ashraf bagged three wickets with 20 runs in four overs of the Chittagong batsmen due to his bowling prowess. Nasum Ahmed grabbed 1 wicket with 25 runs in four over.
Khulna’s bowling has caused the Chattogram batsmen to concede defeat.
Khulna’s opening batsmen Anamul Haque and Evin Lewis came out to bat hoping to chase the successful runs. But Khulna’s opening batsman Captain Anamul Haque scored 9runs and was caught out by Shohidul ball and went towards the pavilion.
Another opener, hitter Evin Lewis, was caught by Imran Uzzaman while hitting a six off Al-Amin Hossain and he scored nine runs with just one four.
The bowlers of Khulna Tigers were on fire with the ball but the batsmen could not do well. Khulna’s batting has lost three wickets in the beginning .
A good 46-runs partnership by Afif Hossain (26) and Mahmudul Hasan Joy (39) towards the end helped Khulna Tigers to taste their first victory in this season of BPL.
Al-Amin Hossain received 2 wickets with 27 runs in four overs. Sohidul Islam claimed 2 wickets with 26 runs in four overs. Nihaduzzaman and Bilal khan received 1 wicket both.
In the end, Faheem Ashraf scored 15 runs in 8 balls to give victory to Khulna.
With 10 balls remaining, the Khulna Tigers batsmen gave away the runs given by Chattogram Tigers.
Ultimately this match won the Khulna Tigers by 4 wickets.
