On Tuesday, January 23, Pakistan’s top batsman Babar Azam is expected to join Rangpur Riders for their next games in the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024, which is a huge boost for the squad. The game will take place at Mirpur, Dhaka against the Sylhet Strikers.

Babar Azam left for Dhaka to rejoin his BPL 2024 squad Rangpur Riders. Babar recently played five T20I series against New Zealand, out of which he scored half century in five matches, totaling 213 runs in five matches.

Babar Azam arrival is a particular relief for Rangpur that he has arrived as their top all-round player Shakib Al Hasan has left the team due to illness, ruling him out for the rest of the BPL 2024.
Babar might play against Sylhet Strikers, according to Rangpur coach Sohail Islam. His position on the team and his function have already been determined.

“The chances of playing the match are very high and he will hopefully play the match. We already planned his role and decided where he will play. It is definitely good for the team,” Sohel Islam said to the media on Monday
Babar Azam, Muhammad Rizwan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, and Muhammad Wasim Jr. are the four cricket players who have been cleared to play in the current BPL 2024 season (NOC).

Babar is shortly going to join BPL 2024 in Bangladesh. Wasim Jr. will play for the Khulna Tigers, while Rizwan will represent the Comilla Victorians. When Mohammad Haris, another Pakistani, traveled to Dhaka to represent Chattogram in the 10th BPL, he was not granted the necessary clearance.
For this year’s BPL, the Raiders have purposefully signed a number of several overseas cricket players, such as Mathisha Pathirana, Wanindu Hasaranga, and Babar Azam.
