Combodia vs Singapore Semi-Final Match Highlights- Singapore and Cambodia met in the second semi-final of the ACC Mens T20I Challengers Cup on Friday, February 9, at the Terdthai Cricket Ground in Bangkok.
After winning the toss, Singapore decided to bat first against Cambodia. In the second semifinal, the Cambodia cricket team prevailed over the Singapore cricket team in a close encounter. The opponents had set a target of 110 runs, but Cambodia overcame them with 31 balls and 6 wickets left.
The pace attackers and spinners in the lineups of both the Singapore Cricket Team and the Cambodia Cricket Team. Also displaying excellent form are their hitters in the top order. Throughout the crucial semi-final encounter, eight out of the eleven batters from Singapore scored just single-digit run, demonstrating a serious lack of confidence on their part.
Cambodia bowlers Ram Sharan collected 3 wickets off 14 runs as Cambodia beat Singapore by 6 wickets.
Singapore’s batting pillar also collapsed due to a concerted effort by the Cambodian bowlers.
Cambodia’s three bowlers namely Sharwan Godara, Gulam Murtaza and Utkarsh Jain took two wickets each. These three bowlers took a total of six wickets at the expense of 61 runs.
Singapore reached 109 runs for all wickets in twenty overs thanks to the batsmen Raoul Sharma’s 39 runs, Surendran Chandramohan’s 17 runs and Avi Dixit’s 10 runs.
The Singapore Cricket Team could not make a comeback with the bowling, Medium fast bowler Ramesh Kalimuthu and right arm fast bowler Anish Paraam while Cambodia were busy chasing the 110 runs mark.
Singapore bowler could not make any impact on the opponent’s batsmen. Only Ramesh Kalimuthu grabbed 2 wickets with 17 runs. Anish Paraam and Harsha Bharadwaj received 1 wicket both.
The match was easily won by Cambodia with to an innings of 61 runs off of 46 balls by batter Ram Sharan. He scored with help off four sixes and four fours. His flawless innings earned him the title of Man of the Match. Luqman Butt, the captain of Cambodia, and Lakshit Gupta scored 16 runs each.
With 31 balls remaining, Cambodia thus won the match with ease.
After winning the semi-final, Cambodia has moved to the ACC Men’s T20 Challengers Cup 2024 final.
