According to a report, the IPL 2024 cannot be scheduled until the date of the Lok-Sabha elections is announced. The Lok-Sabha polls are scheduled to be held by the end of March.
The IPL is likely to be held after test series with England. India’s last Test match against England is on March 11, but the Indian camp is going to return to the IPL after a few days of rest, probably in the first week of April.

The IPL 2024 schedule will be released after the Lok-Sabha elections.
The competition will then continue for two months and the final may be at the end of May.
After that, the T20 World Cup in West Indies and America in 2nd June.
The IPL and the Lok-Sabha elections between 2009 and 2014 were held concurrently earlier. The full competition was place in South Africa in 2009. Some of the events in 2014 happened in the United Arab Emirates, and some in India.

The board is optimistic that this year’s competition will take place entirely in India. However, they must first ascertain the Lok-Sabha election schedule.
